Plant Care Products Mychorrhiza FAQ
Has it been shown to improve growth speed?
House Plant Invigorator increases your plant's overall health, allowing it to grow at its optimal natural rate of speed.
The benefits to the plant include increased vigor, drought resistance, stress resilience, transplant success*, and optimized fruiting/flowering.
*A study conducted at the University of Guelph concluded that plants with mycorrhizae have double the transplant success of untreated plants.
How Fast does it work?
The mycorrhizae go to work immediately after application to a growing plant root and will take about four weeks to establish the symbiotic relationship. Though it varies by plant species, growing protocol, etc., it generally takes about eight weeks for benefits to become visible to the grower in comparison trials. Differences may be visible sooner in more stressful growing conditions, as the mycorrhizae can benefit the plants most.
How often do you need to use it?
Mycorrhizae remain in a symbiotic relationship with the plant for the entire plant's life. Reapplications can be done to ensure continued maximum impact for house plants. We recommend reapplying every three months, or anytime you repot.
Is it Kid and Pet Friendly?
Yes, it is non-toxic.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes, Approximately 95% of plant species will benefit from using it.
How long will the effects last?

How long will the product last in the tube?
The shelf life is two years from the time of production. For best results, store in a cool, dry place.
Will too much hurt my plant?
Since the plant will not absorb more mycorrhizae than it needs, applying more than the recommended rate will not significantly impact. That being said, there have not been any adverse effects of over-inoculation documented, so if you choose to apply more than is recommended, it will not hurt your plants.
What are the main benefits of House Plant Invigorator?
There are numerous documented benefits that mycorrhizal fungi provide to plants. Mycorrhizae provide key benefits to professional growers are root system enhancement, Improved nutrient efficiency, and increased water absorption and utilization.
Why do 5% of plant species not benefit from mycorrhizae use? What are some of the common plant species that show no benefit?
About 5% of the plant world does not grow in soil and instead gathers nutrients from the air and rainwater. These include mosses, some bromeliads, orchids, and tillandsia. Because mycorrhizae work to improve root conditions in the soil, it is not adequate for plants that do not get their nutrients from the soil.
